Costa Ricain process

Global Need's “Global Impact” initiated a work in Costa Rica this year following a devastating earthquake registering 6.5 and leaving 128,000 people homeless. The epicenter was located in central Costa Rica just north of the capital, San Jose. Mudslides followed rendering most of the land uninhabitable and shelters unsafe.

Donated tents provided shelter for residents while volunteers built makeshift outdoor kitchens for cooking rice and beans. The government assisted with relocation of many families to outlying villages where they would begin their lives with nothing but each other.

Nicaraquain process

A wide range of coffee flavors originate from Nicaragua including fruity sweet and nutty varieties providing both full body and balance. Growers utilize the uniqueness of the land to produce well-rounded coffees. Purchasing this coffee assists “Global Grow” by providing support and materials for garden projects in small villages. Locals are provided with the necessary materials and seeds to establish vegetable and fruit gardens for food provision, eliminating hunger and increasing health.

Ethiopiain process

Ethiopia, one of the world’s first sources of coffee, produces beans from both the original dry process and wet washed methods. Global Impact is committed to assisting Ethiopians with water purification efforts. Purchasing this coffee supports “Global H20” a project providing drilling equipment and on-site instruction to locals.
